MD Anderson’s Endocrine and Child and Adolescent Centers see more thyroid cancer patients than almost every other hospital in the country. Rooted in the tradition of multidisciplinary care, MD Anderson’s team has nationally and internationally recognized experts across multiple disciplines who care for patients with thyroid carcinomas, from low risk non-metastatic tumors to widely advanced cancers. The Oncologic Pediatric Endocrinology program within the Children’s Cancer Hospital has a long history of providing expert multidisciplinary care to children diagnosed with endocrine tumors, and we have treated over 800 cases of childhood thyroid carcinoma. We remain at the forefront of research on pediatric thyroid malignancies and help to establish the standards of care for this rare pediatric disease.
